Marathon restarted the 225,000-BBL/d Crude Pipestill 3B on March 28, after it was shut down for unplanned work on March 23, at its 450,000-BBL/d Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas. Separately, a planned turnaround of the 140,000-BBL/d FCCU 3 is finished, and the unit is in startup mode. Restart is expected by the end of the week.

Pemex TRI remains on schedule to perform planned repairs on four units, and associated units, in May at its 243,000-BBL/d Salamanca, Mexico, refinery. Separately, the planned turnaround of the 40,000-BBL/d FCC, 95,000-BBL/d Crude Primaria 3, 14,000-BBL/d Vacuum 2, and associated units, is set to begin in August, but might be delayed due to financial constraints and contractor issues. The refinery is processing at approximately 42% of normal capacity.

International
PT Pertamina Persero Indonesia was forced to shut down its entire 125,000-BBL/d RU VI - Balongan Refinery in Indonesia, today, March 29, after a fire occurred at three fuel oil product tanks (301 A/B/C). Major process units were put offline for safety precautions, including the lone CDU, 83,000-BBL/d FCCU (RCCU), 27,500-BBL/d Reformer and 23,000-BBL/d Isomerization units, for up to an estimated one week. A restart date is undisclosed at this time.

Total SA has started a planned maintenance turnaround of the 50,000-BBL/d Catalytic Reforming (CCR) unit at its 360,000-BBL/d Antwerpen Refinery in Belgium. The turnaround kicked off in late March, and completion is expected in early May.

Mineraloelraffinerie Oberrhein GmbH & Co KG continues with a planned major maintenance turnaround, involving seven units, and associated units, at its 309,000-BBL/d Miro Refinery in Karlsruhe, Germany. The turnaround started on February 19, and completion is expected in mid-April.
