Officials did manage to put 40 MW online before the trip and hope to have the unit back online Friday, August 24, 2007. The coal-fired King Power Station became operational in 1968 and is owned by of Northern States Power Company, a subsidiary of Excel Energy Incorporated (NYSE:XEL ).
