Texas Independent Energy commences Commercial Operations of Second Odessa-Ector 500MW Power Block

Texas Independent Energy's (TIE) (Dallas, Texas) totally owned subsidiary Odessa-Ector Power Partners LP announced that they had a brought second 500 mega-watt (MW) block on line. The first power block came on line August 19, 2001. This is TIE's second 1,000MW generating station in Texas.
The new plant was constructed by Duke/Fluor Daniel (Aliso Viejo, Ca.), which began construction in February 2000. Texas Energy is a Private Energy Producer (PEP) that is a 50/50 joint venture of (2) other PEP's, Panda Energy International Inc. (Dallas, Texas) a privately held company & PSEG Global a subsidiary of Public Service Energy Group (NYSE: PEG) (PSEG) (Newark, New Jersey).
