Maruzen Petrochemical Company Limited's 1,693 million-pound-per-year Keiyo Ethylene (4EP) unit at its Ichihara Chiba Chemical Complex in Japan remains offline due to the earthquake on March 16. The unit had been under a planned maintenance shutdown since January 24.

LyondellBasell Industries BV is performing a planned maintenance turnaround of the 1,150 million-pound-per-year Steam Cracker (U250), 705 million-pound-per-year Polyethylene (PE) and 771 million-pound-per-year Polypropylene (PP) units at its Berre-l'Etang Petrochemical Plant in France. The restart is expected by the end of April.

Sumitomo Chemical Company Limited has delayed the restart of five units at its Ichihara Anesaki Chemical Complex in Japan due to the earthquake on March 16. The restart now is expected April 3.
