Bay Valley Foods on Schedule to Complete Distribution and Packaging Plant in Illinois

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Bay Valley Foods LLC (Westchester, Illinois), a subsidiary of TreeHouse Foods Incorporated (NYSE:THS) (Westchester), is on schedule to complete construction of a distribution center and packaging facility in Rochelle, Illinois, in January 2009. Built to serve Midwest markets, the facility will be used primarily as a warehouse distribution center, as well as for packaging and labeling canned soup goods.

The facility is located in a business park owned and developed by ProLogis (NYSE:PLD) (Denver, Colorado). Construction on the 600,000-square-foot facility started in June with the shell of the building presently completed and half-way decked. The facility is being built according to guidelines for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification and will include the installation of an energy-efficient fluorescent lighting system.

Heitman Architects Incorporated (Itasca, Illinois) is the project's architect. FCL Builders (Itasca), the project's general contractor, is on track to deliver an occupancy certificate around Thanksgiving.
