Bayer CropScience Progresses with Construction of Plant Expansion in Michigan

This three-phase project began in the fall of last year, and the first two phases have been completed, including the construction of a new building.

The final phase of this expansion consists of a large amount of process piping and final installation of equipment related to the production of glufosinate ammonium, an herbicide. Bayer CropScience expects to select subcontractors for phase three of this expansion by the end of August, with mechanical completion planned for the end of this year.

The agricultural segment of the chemical processing industry in North America is still showing momentum, even with the current economic conditions.
