BHP Billiton Moves Forward with Jansen Potash Project in Canada

Construction is under way on the Discovery Lodge accommodation camp; when completed, it will house more than 2,500 workers for the Jansen project. The sinking of the service and production shafts is under way, led by DMC Mining (Richmond Hill, Ontario). The shafts will be approximately 6.5 meters in diameter and 1,000 meters deep.
