Cargill’s $120 Million Soybean Plant Construction in Kansas City Latest in Major Capital Spending Program

The new facility, which is being designed to increase soybean processing capacity from 95,000 bushels per day to 165,000 bushels per day, will be built adjacent to the existing building on Rochester Avenue. According to company’s officials, the new facility would significantly enhance operating efficiencies when it becomes operational spring 2008.

In addition, last year in Kansas City, Cargill Incorporated, in partnership with Paseo Biofuels, LLC (Jefferson City, Missouri) began construction of a $40 million grassroot biodiesel plant with production projected to commence by the end of 2007.
