Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). Cargill Oil Seeds, a division of Cargill Incorporated (Minneapolis, Minnesota), has started construction of a new soybean processing plant to replace an existing processing facility in Kansas City, Missouri.
In addition, last year in Kansas City, Cargill Incorporated, in partnership with Paseo Biofuels, LLC (Jefferson City, Missouri) began construction of a $40 million grassroot biodiesel plant with production projected to commence by the end of 2007.
In addition to the soybean and biodiesel plant projects in Kansas City, Cargill is developing more than 20 other major spending projects totaling about $800 million.
