Cellynne De-inking Project at Florida Mill Gets Green Light

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held Cellynne Corporation (Haines City, Florida), one of North America's largest independent paper converters, is preparing to build a new de-inking line at a mill in Haines City. Construction on the $20 million to $25 million project could begin this fall, and the line is slated to be operational by the third quarter of 2011.

More than a year after the initial announcement, Cellyne will award a contract to supply a de-inking line and associated equipment in the coming weeks.

Cellyne began operating its first tissue machine in Haines City in 2006. In 2009, the company started up a second machine which includes an 18-foot diameter Yankee cylinder and produces 130 tons per day of towel and tissue grades. Construction is under way to fully integrate the complex with a new converting line, as well as speed up another one.

Nearly 90% of the facility's output goes to the away-from-home market.
