The DACH region's Chemical Processing Industry plans to complete 26 expansion and unit-addition projects, worth about $1.15 billion in 2021, according to Industrial Info's project database. The region includes Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Most of the spending is in the plastics and petrochemical sectors, with a combined value of more than $800 million, or about 75% of the total investment in the region.
