Apache Misses Fourth-Quarter International Production Targets - Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) said its crude production in the fourth quarter will fall short of its previous goal after the shutdown of the Forties Pipeline System in the U.K. North Sea. The Houston oil producer said its international output will likely come in around 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day in the fourth quarter, about 10% lower than originally anticipated. EIA: Natural Gas Production to Rise in 2018 - U.S. dry natural gas production was forecast to rise to an all-time high of 80.42 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2018 from 73.57 Bcf/d in 2017, according to the Energy Information Administration's Short Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday. (Reuters)

U.S. Crude Production to Surpass Record Earlier Than Expected - U.S. crude oil production is expected to surpass 10 million barrels per day next month, en route to an all-time record months ahead of previous forecasts, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said Tuesday. (Reuters)

Transco Gas Pipeline Sets New Delivery Record - Williams Partners (NYSE:WPZ) announced that its Transco natural gas pipeline system delivered a record-breaking 15.58 million dekatherms (MMdt) on January 5, 2018. The system also established a new three-day market area delivery record, averaging 14.90 MMdt from January 4 to Jan. 6, 2018. (Business Wire)

NuStar Launches Open Season for New Permian Crude Capacity - NuStar Energy L.P. (NYSE:NS) has launched the binding open season for an expansion of its Permian Crude System, which will expand capacity by 70,000 barrels per day. (Business Wire)

POWER
FERC Rejects Awarding Subsidies to Coal and Nuclear Units - The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) (Washington, D.C.) on Monday terminated its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) into whether coal-fired and nuclear power plants should be given subsidies that recognize their grid reliability and resilience characteristics that stemmed from baseload power plants having 90 days of fuel stockpiled on their sites. Instead, the commission opened a new regulatory proceeding that will "holistically examine the resilience of the bulk power system." (IIR)
