U.S. Natural Gas Output Up in 2017 - U.S. dry natural gas production was forecast to rise to 73.69 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2017 from 72.29 Bcf/d in 2016, according to the Energy Information Administration's Short Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday. (Reuters)

Brent-WTI Gap Widens - This Reuters column discusses how WTI futures for delivery in November 2017 are trading at a discount to Brent of around $5.30 per barrel compared with $2.75 on Aug 14. (Reuters)
OPEC Discusses Extending Crude Oil Cuts Beyond March - OPEC and its allies are discussing extending by more than three months the oil production cuts that expire in March 2018, potentially prolonging them well into the second half of next year in an effort to boost prices, sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
