Motiva Enterprises experienced an electric power blip on August 22, which shut down five units, at its 600,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) refinery in Port Arthur, Texas. Plant personnel hope to have the units restarted by the end of the day.
Total, later today, is expected to complete the restart of the 40,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Atmospheric Crude Oil Unit (ACU) (Unit 812) at its 190,000-BBL/d refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, after a small fire on August 17 caused an extended outage on the 76,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) 2. The FCCU 2, 24,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater (HT) 2 and 50,000-BBL/d Gasoline HT restarted yesterday, August 24.
Imperial Oil, on September 8, will begin a 35-day planned maintenance turnaround of the 11,875-BBL/d Sulfuric Alkylation (SF Alky) Unit at its 112,000-BBL/d refinery in Nanticoke, Ontario.

Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) has delayed the restart of five units at its 360,000-BBL/d (actual capacity: 335,000 BBL/d) Esfahan Refinery in Iran due to some additional repairs needed. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by September 2.
Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company (IKORC) has rescheduled a 30-day planned shutdown of nine units at its 250,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 230,000 BBL/d) Shazand Arak Refinery in Iran. The turnaround now is tentatively expected to begin by September 4, with the restart by October 3.
ENEOS Corporation is on schedule to begin a 66-day planned turnaround of the Lone Crude Unit on September 21 at its 127,500-BBL/d Wakayama Refinery in Japan. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by November 25. Other major units scheduled for shut down include the 39,000-BBL/d FCCU from September 13 to December 12, and the 22,000-BBL/d No. 2 Catalytic Reformer from September 25 to November 23.
