North America
Cenovus Energy, on September 30, began a 45-day planned maintenance turnaround of five units at its 165,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Lima, Ohio, refinery.

Phillips 66, on September 29, shut down the 30,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) 29, 30,000-BBL/d FCCU 40 and 14,000-BBL/d Hydrofluoric Alkylation (HF Alky) Unit at its 145,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, after a loss of power from a third-party source. Additionally, a 10-day minor turnaround on the FCCU 29 will begin in early October.

Pemex TRI, on September 27, restarted six units at its 177,000-BBL/d Ciudad Madero, Mexico, refinery. The units had been under planned repairs since late August. However, the refinery is processing at about 46% of normal capacity due to feedstock controls and financial constraints.

International
LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez LLC began a planned maintenance shutdown and catalyst changeout works on the 53,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater (LCH-24/2000), 160,000-BBL/d ABT-5 (Crude 03) and 96,000-BBL/d ABT-5 (Vacuum 03) units in early October at its 354,500-BBL/d Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez Refinery in Russia.

Imam Khomeini Oil Refining Company (IKORC) has rescheduled a 30-day planned shutdown of nine units at its 250,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 230,000 BBL/d) Shazand Arak Refinery in Iran. The turnaround now is tentatively expected to begin October 10, with the restart taking place by November 8.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has delayed the restart of the 80,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 3 block, which includes six major units, at its 232,000-BBL/d (design capacity: 210,000 BBL/d) Manali Refinery in India. The restart now is expected by October 8.
