Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) will host The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) (Washington, DC) as its special guest on Industrialinfo.com Radio Monday, April 9, 2007, as part of Industry Today, a weekly internet radio broadcast featuring technology, industry trends and company executives. The IBEW represents approximately 750,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. The IBEW has members in both the United States and Canada and stands out among the American unions in the AFL-CIO because it is among the largest and has members in many skilled occupations.
The IBEW has developed a unique website to embrace technology to motivate its work force and boost market share, called IBEW Hour Power. This new streaming video-based web site features exclusive segments including a Presidents Message, Job Tips, New Briefs, Motivational Briefs and much more. The purpose of this site is to complete the IBEWs efforts to connect their corporate office in Washington to potentially every member of each construction branch across the U.S. and Canada.
