Mammoet Expands Heavy Lifting & Equipment Fleet to Meet Increased North American Capital Project Demand

In order to meet growing client demand, Mammoet (Rosharon, Texas), is investing in several heavy lift cranes, hydraulic trailers and other equipment to serve the North American market. Our clients are planning and executing major capital projects and we want to make sure we can satisfy their needs for heavy lift and specialty transport requirements, said Bill Halsband, Vice President, Business Development for Mammoet. We are investing in bringing into North America several high capacity cranes with capacities in excess of 400 tons and many more lines of hydraulic trailers and other equipment to compliment our existing fleet.
Currently Mammoet has over 300 lighter capacity hydraulic and crawler cranes, which include: 1 - PTC Ring Crane, 1 CC 6800, 1 M21000, 1 CC 4800, 3 CC 2800, 1 TC 3200, 1 CC 2600, 1 LR 1550 and 3 LR1400.
Additional heavy lift machines have started to arrive and will continue to be delivered into North America over the next two years including another PTC DS (1600 Metric ton @ 16m radius), 1 MSG (3070 Metric ton @ 22 m radius), 1- LR11350 (1350 Metric Ton @ 14 m radius), 1 RK 8500 (829 Metric ton @ 24 m radius), 1 M 18000, 4 CC 2800 and 4 CC 2400-1 (newer version).
For engineered transport requirements Mammoet currently has over 250 lines of 360 degree SPMT (Self Propelled Modular Transporters) and 370 lines of conventional hydraulic trailers. Next year, Mammoet is adding at least another 100 lines of SPMT and 120 lines of conventional hydraulic trailers.
In addition, Mammoet is significantly increasing the number of heavy lift strand jacks. Additional 4 x 900 metric ton jacks and tower systems, and an additional 24 x 40 ft super duty guyless towers.
