Motiva Not to Proceed with Refinery Expansion Plan - Motiva Enterprises has decided not to add processing capacity at its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, according to a company spokeswoman, fallout from last summer's Hurricane Harvey that knocked nearly a quarter of all U.S. crude capacity offline. The decision, which puts Motiva on a path to buy or build another refining plant in the United States, is a significant change in the refiner's plans from just two months ago when the company's chief executive, Brian Coffman, said Motiva was weighing adding up to 900,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of processing capacity to the company's sole U.S. refinery, the 603,000-BBL/d Port Arthur refinery. Magellan Launches Supplemental Open Season for Refined Products Pipeline - Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. (NYSE:MMP) announced a new open season to solicit additional commitments from shippers to potentially further expand the western leg of its refined petroleum products pipeline system in Texas. Magellan previously announced it is expanding the capacity of the western leg of its Texas refined products pipeline system to approximately 150,000 barrels BBL/d from its current capacity of 100,000 BBL/d. Reuters: ConocoPhillips Prepares to Offload Stake in Canada's Cenovus - ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) is preparing to offload its stake in Cenovus Energy Incorporated (NYSE:CVE) that it acquired as part of an asset sale to the Canadian oil and gas producer last year, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

Golar's Cameroon FLNG Project Starts Commercial Operation - Golar LNG (NASDAQ:GLNG) said it has started commercial operations at a pioneering floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) production platform in Cameroon. The Hilli Episeyo FLNG vessel, converted from an aging tanker for $1.2 billion, produced the first LNG on March 12 but only exported its first cargo in May, to China, after technical issues delayed a ramp up in production.
