Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Range River Gold, Limited, (Melbourne, Australia) is venturing into gold production and intends to become a gold producer by the first quarter of 2006. The budding Australian gold producer is betting on the continuously high commodities prices with a $5.6 million investment in the Indee gold project. Although, the company is yet to receive regulatory approval from the government, or appoint a mining contractor, they are moving full steam ahead with development plans. The Indee gold project is located 80 kilometers southwest of Port Hedland, an Australian industrial hub and a major port city. In June of 2005, Range River Gold acquired Bullion Minerals thirty percent interest giving the company full ownership of the Indee gold project.
Guided by an experienced in-house staff and a team of consultants such as Snowden Mining Industry Consultants Pty, Limited (city, state), Mr. Michael Beer (managing director) and his staff are charging ahead with the Indee gold project. To reduce up front capital investment, the company has purchased used equipment (delivery is in progress), and has offered equity participation. Ranger River will pay Merit Lining System Pty, Limited 5 million ordinary shares as partial payment for the construction of the channel liners, ponds, and heap leach system. This strategy stands to make the Indee gold project a low cost heap leach mine.
Range River envisions the Indee gold project as a three-phase development.
The initial phase involves a run on of mine heap leach operation with an extraction plant and an initial production capacity of 25,000 ounces of gold per annum for the first three years at a mining rate of 600,000 tons per year.
The second phase will involve the oxide mine life expansion and finally develop sulphide ore. In addition to the acquisition of equipment, like feed hoppers, two-stage crusher, multi-stage conveyor systems, control room and CAT 320 KVA generator, some of the budgeted $4.5 million will be used to construct mining related auxiliary facilities and accommodations for 40 personnel.
Formed in 1994 as an unlisted public company to explore and develop mineral deposits in Victoria, Range River was listed on the Australian stock exchange on June 17th 2002. The focus has since widened to include prospective exploration properties in other parts of Australia. After completion, the Indee Gold Mine will be Range Rivers first and only operational mine.
