Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Sinoma International Engineering Company Limited (Nanjing, Jiangsu) (SHA:600970), a subsidiary of China National Materials Group Corporation (Sinoma) (Beijing), has signed a general contract with Sephaku Holdings Limited (Centurion, South Africa) for a 5,100-ton-per-day cement production line in South Africa, Sinoma announced on April 1.
Sephaku Holdings explores, develops and invests in limestone, gold, nickel, tin, fluor, coal and diamond, and owns more than 10 subsidiaries. Sephaku Cement has been in discussions with Sinoma regarding the project since September 2007.
According to the contract, Sinoma will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), including civil work, equipment installation, training and commissioning of a new cement production line and a cement powder mill station in Itsoseng and Delams, South Africa. The contract value of this project amounts to $273.7 million. Total construction period of the project will be 30 months.
The contract is the second overseas order received by Sinoma International in March. On March 5, the company signed a $137.68 million EPC contract for a 3,300-ton-per-day cement production line with Cilu Cement Company, a subsidiary of George Forrest International Group (Belgium).
