Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--CT&T Company (Seoul, South Korea) plans to build a $200 million electric car manufacturing plant in Oahu, Hawaii. The company plans to construct a 100,000-square-foot assembly plant and install supporting equipment for the production of 10,000 electric vehicles per year.

A general contractor is to be selected by late summer, with construction expected to begin in the early fall of this year. Overall completion is slated for the fall of 2011. The new assembly plant is expected to manufacture two-seat electric cars and other vehicles and employ approximately 400 people.
