EIA: U.S. Shale Oil Output to Rise in March - U.S. oil output from top shale-producing regions will rise in March to its highest in four months, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Monday in its monthly Drilling Productivity Report. Production from the top basins will rise by nearly 20,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to 9.7 million BBL/d, its highest since December, the EIA said. Oil output in the Permian basin, the largest U.S. shale field, was due to rise by about 14,000 BBL/d to 6.1 million BBL/d, the second-highest monthly output on record after November, the EIA said. Plains All American Sees Record Permian Output in 2024 - Plains All American Pipeline LP (NASDAQ:PAA) (Houston, Texas) said on Friday it expects crude oil production in the Permian Basin to grow between 200,000 and 300,000 BBL/d to a record by the end of this year. The pipeline and storage operator said oil output from the basin would rise to 6.4 million BBL/d, from 6.1 million BBL/d at the end of 2023. (Reuters)

Constellation, National Grid Reach LNG Supply Deal for Massachusetts Terminal - Britain's National Grid plc (NYSE:NGG) (London, England) on Friday said it reached an agreement with gas supplier Constellation Energy Corporation (NYSE:CEG) (Baltimore, Maryland) that would allow it to keep operating its Everett gas-import terminal for six years. The Everett, Massachusetts, facility supplies natural gas to power plants and other utilities across New England. It was set to close with the May retirement of Constellation's Mystic Generating Station, a gas-fired power plant. "The agreement will maintain a reliable and available supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for National Grid's 950,000 residential and business natural gas customers during peak heating demand days," National Grid said in a statement.
