174 Power Global Completes Texas Solar Farm - 174 Power Global announced that it has completed and energized its Oberon solar power facility in West Texas. Chariot Energy, an affiliate of 174 Power Global, has entered into a power purchase agreement for 30 megawatts (MW) of the 180-MW project. The facility is comprised of more than 560,000 solar panels. AEP Purchases Share in Texas Windfarms - American Electric Power's (NYSE: AEP) (AEP) renewable energy subsidiary, AEP Renewables, has completed the purchase of Invenergy's 20.1% interest in the Desert Sky and Trent Mesa wind facilities in Texas. AEP Renewables and Invenergy have jointly owned the facilities since 2018. AEP Renewables now owns the full capacity of the 170-MW Desert Sky facility near Iraan, Texas, and the 156-MW Trent Mesa facility, located between Abilene and Sweetwater in West Texas. CRUDE OIL
U.S. Crude Oil Stocks Fall - U.S. crude inventories fell by 1.6 million barrels in the week ending August 14 to 512.5 million barrels. Net U.S. crude imports rose by 1.1 million barrels per day (BBL/d) to 3.6 million BBL/d. U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 3.3 million barrels to 243.8 million barrels. Distillate stockpiles rose by 152,000 barrels. (Reuters)
