China Expects $14.98 Billion of 1,4-Butanediol Projects

September 23, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--As the key downstream product of 1,4-Butanediol (BDO), N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) is expected to absorb BDO's blowout production capacity release in the next few years in China.

At present, China's BDO production capacity is 2.175 million tons, but the planned production capacity has exceeded 20 million tons. Industry experts are optimistic that the next demand explosion will come from new energy electric vehicles.
