Coen Company acquires Electric Power Technologies

The following is an advisory by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Coen Company, Incorporated (Burlingame, CA) announced recently that it has acquired Electric Power Technologies (EPT), a leader in combustion technology for the utility industry.

Headquarted in Menlo Park, CA, EPT is a diversified engineering company that specializes in the upgrading of gas, oil, and coal combustion equipment for performance improvements, emissions reductions, and increased fuel flexibility. EPT also provides project management and consulting engineering services for evaluation of new or existing technology in the fields of combustion and air emissions control. Principal clients include utility companies, large industrial operations, independent operators of combustion systems, and equipment manufacturers.

The acquisition of EPT will greatly expand Coen's capabilities in the utility industry, said James White, President and CEO, Coen Company. EPT's performance-improving products and strong engineering talent will complement Coen's existing product offering to the utility industry.
