Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) will host RTP Corporation (Pompano Beach, Florida) as a special guest on Industrialinfo.com Radio on Monday, December 3, 2007, as part of the weekly online broadcast of "Industry Today." RTP has provided superior critical control technology for the nuclear, glass and related industries since 1968. RTP's products are known to provide among the highest speed, highest integrity and highest availability the market has to offer. RTP designs and manufactures all of its products at its plant in Pompano Beach, enabling it to offer hardware at prices significantly below those of most DCS manufacturers.
In recent years, RTP has expanded on its success to provide complete DCS systems and SIL-3 certified systems for every industrial application. The RTP Critical Control and Safety Application architecture can extend to 32 intelligent I/O chassis, process in excess of 10,000 I/O channels per node, and incorporate multiple levels of redundancy. RTP has long built its reputation on advanced technology. RTP's expansion into the safety controls market is aimed at bringing RTP's advanced technology to these demanding applications that are designed to protect people and process equipment.
RTP's 2500 Critical Control and Safety System can be used for both basic process control and for safety applications. The RTP 2500 system has been applied in oil & gas, chemical and refining operations for reactor safety systems, burner management, turbine and compressor equipment plus many more applications. Utilizing multi-processor architecture, the RTP 2500 has a 10-millisecond scan time that never varies and a response time of 25 to 32 milliseconds, incredibly faster than traditional safety systems offering 200 milliseconds. This level of speed combined with the reliability these systems offer equals a very comprehensive control solution.
