Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Eagle Claw Fabrication LLC (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and the Port of Muskogee are planning a $28 million wind turbine tower manufacturing plant in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The company plans to construct a 150,000-square-foot building on a 47-acre site adjacent to the existing port's railcar marshaling yard, connecting with the Union Pacific Railroad in Muskogee. A general contractor is to be selected in August, with the start of construction planned for September. Overall completion for the plant is scheduled by the spring of 2011, with full capacity of the facility expected by the fall of 2011. At the Port, the company will have access to markets that would not be accessible and will allow the company to move its product by truck, rail or barge. Approximately 175 jobs will be created.
Eagle Claw Fabrication, which was created in 2009 and is strategically located in Oklahoma, is a leading supplier of wind turbine towers and a fabricator of products that are used in alternative-fuel and geothermal installations.
