Duke Power Company a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation (NYSE:DUK) (Charlotte, North Carolina) is having Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation (Englewood, Colorado), a subsidiary of The Shaw Group (NYSE:SGR) (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) install flue gas de-sulfurization (FGD) scrubbers at its 2,000-megawatt (MW) coal-fired Marshall Power Station in Terrell, North Carolina, in order to reduce sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions.
The FGD installation project construction was started first quarter of 2004 and is scheduled for completion and tie-ins starting in the fall of 2006 and continuing through the end of 2007.
