Hot Dip Galvanizing Continues To Grow
Boasted as the largest galvanizing plant in the U.S., the $12 million plant includes overhead cranes & indoor storage

Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Voigt & Schweitzer, Incorporated (Columbus, Ohio) must be doing something really right, having just hosted the April 12th grand opening of its Jonestown, Pennsylvania full service galvanizing facility. Boasted as the largest galvanizing plant in the U.S., the $12 million plant includes overhead cranes & indoor storage, that facilitates a 'drive-thru' set up for loading and unloading. A Penn-Dot inspector said, "It was one of the most impressive galvanizing plants I've seen."
High Construction, Incorporated (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) was the design build contractor on both this facility and Voigt & Schweitzer's plant in Bristol, Virginia, which held its grand opening in October of 2001. Voigt & Schweitzer and High Construction also announced that they are working to complete a third plant later this year in Licksville, Pennsylvania.
This will bring to nine the total number of plants Voigt & Schweitzer is operating in the central and eastern United States. All this at a time when many steel companies are cutting back on expenses and operations! The company's success can be accredited to its 100 years of hot dip galvanizing experience, customer service focus, and a high demand for quality non-corrosive coatings for steel fabrication projects.
