The facility, located in Elk Point, South Dakota, is in the permitting process, and Hyperion has selected RTP Environmental (Raleigh, North Carolina) as a consultant to assist with the permit application preparation. The construction of the energy center will require 4 million linear feet of process piping, 215,000 cubic yards of concrete, 16,000 tons of rebar, 400,000 tons of steel, 800,000 valves, and 39.8 million feet of wire and cable.
