Luminant Generation Company LLC's 1,197-megawatt (MW) Comanche Peak 02 unit at its Comanche Peak Nuclear Generating Station in Texas, tripped offline on June 7 due to an electrical fault and a fire that occurred on the main transformer. Damage assessments are underway at this time, and plant officials have stated the unit is in "hot standby" mode. An exact restart date is undisclosed at this time, but officials believe the fire was extinguished before any significant damage occurred.

Duke Energy Progress LLC moved up the restart of the 930-MW Shearon Harris 01 unit, at its Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Station in North Carolina. The restart is now expected today.

NRG Texas Power LLC has rescheduled the restart of the 649-MW W A Parish 05 unit at its W A Parish Power Station in Texas. The unit was forced offline on June 4 due the malfunction of baghouse air controls. The restart is now expected June 10.
