ExxonMobil has completed a planned maintenance turnaround on its 191,000 barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Rotterdam Refinery in the Netherlands. The maintenance kicked off on March 2, and was completed today, May 17. The primary units, including the 191,000-BBL/d Crude Unit, 81,500-BBL/d Vacuum Unit and 88,200-BBL/d Hydrocracker, were not included in the maintenance turnaround and remained online.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has delayed the restart of the 96,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 1 at its 300,000-BBL/d Mangalore Refinery in India due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously planned to restart on May 15, the unit now is tentatively expected to restart by May 31. The unit has been in an unplanned shutdown since April 11. Earlier, the CDU 1 was under an unplanned shutdown due to production planning and minor maintenance. The 144,000-BBL/d CDU 2 and 60,000-BBL/d CDU 3 were operational at 97% throughput from May 1 to May 10. The units tentatively are expected to resume to full capacity by May 31.

Sonatrach has rescheduled the 30-day major shutdown of its 165,000-BBL/d Crude Distillation Unit 1, 30,000-BBL/d Reformer 2, 6,900-BBL/d Isomerization 2 and 21,132-BBL/d Kerosene Merox Unit 2 at its 430,000-BBL/d Skikda Refinery in Algeria. Previously, the turnaround was scheduled to start on April 15, and is now tentatively expected to begin by October 15. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart all the units by November 13, 2021.
