Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd. (APSEZ), India's largest private multi-port operator, announced on January 3 it will acquire a 75% stake in the Krishnapatnam Port on India's east coast. The port is the second-largest privately managed port in India after Mundra. The acquisition will push the cargo handling capacity of Adani Ports close to 350 million tonnes. The port is owned by Navyuga Group and is undergoing various capacity enhancement projects in different phases.
