Keller Electrical Nears Completion of Arizona Manufacturing Plant

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Keller Electrical Industries Incorporated (Phoenix, Arizona) is nearing the completion of a $16 million manufacturing plant in Phoenix, Arizona.

Construction on the facility, which is known as the "High Voltage Facility," began in September 2009 and consists of a 105,292-square-foot building on an 8.7-acre site that includes a 270-kilowatt (kW), roof-top solar power generator. It also will include a 1,500 kilovolt-ampere test stand; a 13-foot-by-10-foot-by-20-foot paint booth; and five 7.5- to 30-ton industrial bridge cranes. Construction is set to be completed by late August of this year. The plant will more than triple the size of the company's existing space. Approximately 125 jobs will be created during the next five years.

Sun State Builders (Tempe, Arizona) was selected to provide general construction services for the new plant.
