KEMET Corporation Begins Expansion in South Carolina

Construction began last month on a 30,000-square-foot building addition to the company's 75,000-square-foot building to add production space. The expansion also includes the refurbishment of existing infrastructure and will allow the company to continue manufacturing electronic capacitors. Completion of the expansion is anticipated by May 2011.

LeBlanc Welch (Greenville, South Carolina) was selected to provide engineering services, while Trades Industrial Company Incorporated (Mauldin, South Carolina) was selected to provide general construction services for the expansion.
