The mandatory turnaround, which will follow government regulations, will focus largely on the maintenance and inspection of all main processing units.

Maintenance will require a complete technical shutdown that will affect the entire production facility. Units such as the 68,000-BBL/d Atmospheric Distillation Unit, the 13,000-BBL/d Vacuum Distillation Unit, the 20,900-BBL/d FCC Unit, and the 11,490-BBL/d CCR Unit will be involved, among others.

The overhaul is scheduled to take place at the beginning of the first quarter of 2012 and is to last 45 non-production days.

LUKOIL S.A took over Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in 1998, when the Romanian government decided to privatize its assets. Its main output products that meet EURO 5 standards are Super Euroluk COR 98; Euroluk COR 95; Diesel EURO 5; and Propylene.
