Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--SBE Incorporated (Barre, Vermont) has just received permits to construct a $20 million electronic capacitor manufacturing plant in Barre, Vermont.

Permits were received last month for construction of a 52,000-square-foot building in the Wilson Industrial Park. The facility will be used to manufacture high-volume electronic capacitors that will produce power ring capacitors of power train development for electric and hybrid vehicles. The plant is expected to produce 100,000 power ring capacitors a year. Site preparation is expected to begin this month with building construction beginning in December. Overall completion is slated for the early fall of 2010. Approximately 100 new jobs will be created. A 47,000-square-foot building expansion of the new plant is anticipated for the future, if production steadily increases.

E.F. Wall & Associates, the company's current landlord and key investor in the project in Barre, was selected to provide general construction services for the new plant.
