Qatar Energy to Expand, Upgrade Mesaieed Refinery by 2026
Qatar Energy plans to increase its refining capacity from 127,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to 134,000 BBL/d, with the expansion of a crude distillation unit

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Qatar Energy plans to increase its refining capacity from 127,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to 134,000 BBL/d, with the expansion of a crude distillation unit.
The company also plans to construct a new fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) naphtha hydrotreater unit. Qatar Energy expects both projects to be complete by the middle of 2025.
Qatar Energy also plans to construct a light gasoline hydrotreater in an existing light gas-oil hydrotreater unit, to produce Euro 5-specification products by the middle of 2026.
