GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (NYSE: GSK) (London, England) has chosen a 20-acre site in Fountain Inn, South Carolina as the site for their newest pharmaceutical distribution facility. This over-the-counter (OTC) division of GSK has had operations in the area since 1988 and the new center will be responsible for the distribution of the company's products to the entire southeast region.
The 260,000 square foot building will be fully automated and outfitted with climate control equipment. Harper Construction (Greenville, South Carolina) is the general contractor for the project. Liberty Property Trust will own the building and lease it to GSK.
