Standridge Color Continues Aggressive Growth Plans with the Startup of Three New Plants Planned for 2005

Standridge Color Corporation (Social Circle, Georgia) began operations at a new plant in Defiance, Ohio, in February 2005, and is nearing completion of a new building at a 12-acre site in Newton, Kansas, which will be the newest member of its family when completed later this year. Standridge Color's new plant in Defiance is currently operating with five production lines, and has been designed to accomodate the addition of up to six lines when the regional market justifies expansion.

Construction of a nearly 30,000 square foot building in Newton, which began earlier this year, is expected to be complete this month (April), and installation of new pigment extrusion lines will begin immediately. Standridge Color expects commercial operations to begin in Newton by August 2005.

Standridge Color, a producer of color concentrates and additives for the plastics industry since 1976, is aggressively pursuing growth opportunities with these two new plants and is in the early planning stages for new plant locations in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. Upon selection of a plant site, Texas could be the next location to be constructed this year, with plans for the other regions possibly beginning in 2006. Depending on the number of production lines, each of these plants' Total Investment Value (TIV) could range from $1.5 million to $2.5 million, and each could ultimately employ as many as 20 people, once full production has been reached.
