Titan Pro SCI Begins Construction of Seed and Chemical Plant in Iowa

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held seed, chemical and crop insurance provider Titan Pro SCI (Garner, Iowa) poured concrete this weekend to begin construction of a new storage warehouse and office building.

Plans involve the construction of a 70,000-square-foot warehouse with a tank room for agricultural chemical storage and bagged corn seed. The company began mobilizing the large tanks from Titan Pro's old location in Garner last week. The facility includes a 6,500-square-foot office building.

Titan selected Dean Snyder Construction (Clear Lake, Iowa) as the general contractor for the estimated $3.5 million project. If weather cooperates, the project is expected to be completed by late January or early February 2010.

The facility is located in the Clear Lake Industrial Park near the intersection of South 24th Street and 12th Avenue South, and is also near Interstate 35. The facility is expected to create 40 new jobs for the rural community.
