Unipres plans to expand its existing 330,000 square foot plant by increasing the assembly floor by 170,000 square feet and installing press bays to increase production capacity. Design is currently underway for the expansion, with site preparation expected by the end of 2004 or early Spring 2005. Overall completion of the phased expansion project is slated for the Fall 2005.

Unipres Southeast USA Incorporated's Mississippi plant was established in 2003, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Unipres Corporation (Japan). The plant was built to manufacture ordered body parts for mini trucks and minivans to be manufactured at the Nissan North America, Incorporated (NYSE:NSANY )plant in Mississippi.

Unipres Corporation was established in 1945 and in 1998 underwent a merger between Yamakawa Industrial Company Limited and Yamato Kogyo Company Limited. The company manufactures and sells automotive parts, electrical machinery parts, metal products, welders, dies, jigs, tools and maintenance and inspection of press machinery. They perform stamping, machining and assembly of metal parts.

The subsidiary, Unipres USA Incorporated, located in Portland, Tennessee, was founded in 1987 and now employs over 620 people and manufactures and sells automotive car body parts.
