Construction Under Way on New Cold-Storage Facility in Washington

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--VersaCold International Corporation (Vancouver, British Columbia) has begun the structural steel erection phase for a new $30 million cold-storage facility in Tacoma, Washington. The Port of Tacoma facility will be a 196,000-square-foot freezer and refrigerated building with the possibility for future expansion. Construction started in January and is currently on schedule for a portion of the facility to be open in July, with the final build-out occuring in August.

The facility is being built by Fisher & Sons Incorporated (Burlington, Washington). Primus Builders Incorporated (Woodstock, Georgia) has the refrigeration contract.
