Growth Design Corporation Breaks Ground on Biodiesel Plant in Wisconsin

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held Growth Design Corporation (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) broke ground on a grassroot biodiesel production facility, which is estimated to cost $8.5 million, last weekend in Forest City, Wisconsin.

The company plans to construct a 3,500-square-foot production facility, which will transform corn oil and chicken-fat feedstocks into 3 million gallons per year of biodiesel. The company selected Holland Contracting (Forest City, Wisconsin) as the general contractor for the project .The facility is expected to be brought online by the first quarter of 2011.

The closed-loop, emissions-free production facility will produce a 100% biodiesel product, B-100, that will be blended with traditional No. 2 petroleum diesel.

The plant is on three acres of land, about two miles east of Forest City. When in full production, the plant is expected to create 14 jobs for the rural community.
