Indian Oil's Panipat Refinery Expansion in India Leads to Pipeline Augmentation

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is moving ahead with a project to increase the processing capacity of its Panipat Refinery to 500,000 barrels per day (BBL/d).

To meet the enhanced crude oil requirement at the Panipat Refinery, the Mundra-to-Panipat Pipeline's capacity will be increased by means of laying a new 1,100-kilometer pipeline that will run parallel to the existing one, along with increased pumping capacity. The pipeline is one of the major crude oil pipelines transporting crude oil from Mundra (Gujarat) to Panipat (Haryana). The project is expected to be completed by 2024.
