Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Petrocomercial (Quito, Ecuador) has awarded Consorcio SHI Asia & Asociados (Quito) the contract for an LPG transport and distribution project.

SHI Asia & Asociados is a joint venture integrated by the Ecuatorian Construvalero (Quito), Constructora Brade (Quito), Molemotor (Quito), Oil Depot (Quito), the Colombian company Ismocol, and Thailand company Shi Asia (NYSE:SHI) (Bangkok, Thailand), which specializes in the construction of steel storage facilities (tanks) for crude oil and chemical products storage.

The construction includes a pump station in Monteverde in Santa Elena, Ecuador; a storage and distribution terminal in El Chorrillo (Guayas, Ecuador); and a 123-kilometer, 12-inch pipeline between both locations, as well as administrative and operative facilities.
