The plant is owned by Northern States Power (Minneapolis, Minnesota), a subsidiary of Xcel Energy (NYSE:XEL).

Plant officials said that they are investigating the cause of the trip and that they will attempt to make the necessary repairs as soon as possible. They also said that they are hoping to address another issue in a couple of days related to a feedwater heater that will require the unit to be offline.
