New York State Gets 30MW of Additional Green Energy (Wind Power) Near Fenner in Madison County

Energy developer Atlantic Renewable Energy Resources Corporation (Richmond, Va.) with constructor M.A. Mortenson Construction (Minneapolis, Minn.) has almost completed CHI Energy Inc's (Stamford, Conn.) new wind power plant in Fenner, NY. The 30 mega-watt (MW) plant will have twenty 1.5MW Enron wind turbine/generator sets when completed in November of this year.

This will be the fourth project developed by Atlantic Renewable Energy Resources in the last two years in the northeastern United States, two in Pennsylvania for 24MW plus two in New York for 41.5MW. Atlantic Renewable Energy Resources is in the process of developing six other projects at this time.
