Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Niagara Bottling LLC (Ontario, California) has completed construction and will begin producing bottled water this month at its new, 450,000-square-foot plant in Newnan, Georgia.
The Newnan facility comprises production, packaging and warehouse space, with the potential for up to four production lines. The second line is scheduled for startup in February. No timeline has been given for the remaining two lines.
Krones (Franklin, Wisconsin) was the primary equipment vendor and Choates Construction (Charlotte, North Carolina) served as the general contractor, along with a host of local subcontractors.
Niagara also is building a $56 million facility in Wisconsin that is under construction and scheduled for startup in first quarter of 2015. The company also is developing plans for a $53 million facility in New York that could be operational in 2016.
Niagara's project in Newnan is among 60 food & beverage capital and maintenance projects in Georgia, with a combined investment value of more than $1.3 billion.
