The sudden and likely protracted surge in demand for household bathroom tissue products due to the COVID-19 outbreak is driving towel and tissue manufacturers to run machines at full capacity. There are just over 80 tissue mills in the country and there are plans to construct eight new paper machines, including four at three grassroot sites.
