Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held retail fuels distributor Lincoln Energy Solutions (Greenville, South Carolina) has completed construction of a new biofuels offloading and storage project at the company's fuel distribution terminal in Belton, South Carolina.
The company has beefed up its biofuels distribution system by doubling its truck fleet and adding 1.9 million gallons of biofuel storage capacity and a new 225,000-gallon fire water storage tank.
Pressure testing was completed last week, and the new additions will help Lincoln's efficiency of existing delivery into South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, and will expand market deliveries into Florida and Virginia in the future.
The project added 1.5 million gallons of ethanol storage capacity and 400,000 gallons of biodiesel storage, as well as a rail spur expansion that will allow an additional six tank cars on the track on top of the existing 80-car train. Offloading of product is expected to double and will allow the company to provide faster biofuel deliveries for customers.
